Sunday 12th March 2017 - Conservation Day at Smardale Gill Nature Reserve - Cumbria Wildlife Trust.

Meet at Smardale Hall Carp Park GR: NY 739 082, Smardale Gill, Kirkby Stephen, CA17 4HG

We will be coppicing and brash burning along the disused railway line to maintain an open ride for butterflies.  This will encourage the diverse woodland ground flora to proliferate and keep the footpath open for public access.
Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and bring a packed lunch.
